MTI Training 3/4/13 Cartersville Ga

Yeah, we did the trip plan friday and got everybody between 150-200 miles driving each, but that time in the truck when you aren't behind the wheel is gonna pass slow.

 

HA, I love it.

 

Found out late Sunday night that we wouldn;t be going to WI so instead we spent the day driving around northern Atlanta on some narrow two lanes practicing making tight turns. Everybody did pretty well and you can tell that the more we are in the truck the more confidence there is out on the road. Going to play on Monteagle tomorrow.

 

The trucks don't have APU's or come with inverters, but the terminals that have shops do have 1500 watt inverters that you can buy and they will install for you. Then you can just take it with you from truck to truck when you change trucks.

 

Would have posted last night but found out that i brought my laptop but forgot the charging cord, so I had to track down another computer. Monteagle was fun. Everybody did well once they calmed down and weren't nervous. We had another Millis driver come in behind us at the inspection station on I-24 SB and about halfway down he got around our truck. Dave told us to watch him and that he wouldn't touch his brakes the whole way and he didn't. He told us that the Jake brakes in the T700 and T680s were awesome, good enough to hold a fully loaded truck and trailer at speed on a 6% downgrade. Anyways, tonight is our night drive and we are headed to Albany. Three more days of class left and three days of orientation and we will be out on the road with trainers.
