Then you have not worked for the right company yet. Companies that have 100+ % turn over are not the same as companies that are in the teens .

im speaking of the industry as a whole..and statisticly speak trucking has a 110% a year turn over rate..im sure their are companies with very low turn over and most of them are hard for drivers to get on at or they are more local or regional...

Do yourself a big favor and stay away. Old trucks that stay in shop more than the road. You only get a newer one if you will go OTR. Even then you will be out more than 3 weeks. Trucks stink like cigarettes and someones butt. You will be left at a truck stop or a parking lot somewhere to get your 34 hr restart. No matter if you live near they say no. I was charged with out of route miles due to trying to avoid snow and ice. Should have just ran it off a cliff. By the time I got paid my cjeck was a little over 50 dollars. Not bad for starting off at over 600. Especially with no advances taken by me. You figure why they have such big orientation classes yet?

Up here At the Nazareth terminal as well as OTR our fleet ranges from 2010 to 2013 Cascadias, 2011- 2012 Prostars, 2011-2012 Valvo 670's.
We do have some 2006 or 2007 Columbias mixed in, but only a few they are fazing them out. as far as him being charged for going out of route. Western charges 1 dollar a mile for 50 + miles out of route that is unapproved over the Qualcomm. He did not mention that did he. So he must have been at least 300 miles out of route. Why did he not park it because of road conditions, and put that over the Qualcomm. So tell us why. If you rally have 10 yrs experience you would have done that. Just another example of a driver not listening and doing what they want, to h*** with the company and everyone else. The few drivers or SUPER TRUCKERS like that, that we have here make our good drivers and everyone else here look bad.Are we the best no. Are we the worst no. We have professional drivers and we have steering wheel holders just like everyone else. It's always the company's fault, well maybe some drivers like that should look in the mirror, not just here but at other companies as well. Ty be safe out there.

we live in an "entitlement generation" now..... lots of the young ppl think they deserve everything handed to them with out working for it

at western, hard runners get the perks and cry babies get shown the door. WSX is in business to make money and thats the bottom line...if you need a shoulder to cry on i suggest you call dr phil and if you want it your way go to burger king

trucking is a hard life and it will take a toll on everyone in some way

there are plenty of trucking companies to chose from and if you dont want to work for us then haul ###, we bring in 100's of drivers a week and we will be glad to assign them your truck

    JR80 Thanks this.

I was a hard runner. Nobody asked for entitlement. I am not a young person actually over 50. Burger King pays more. High priority loads are just that. High priority. I tried to call dispatch several times no answer just voice mail. What happened to communication? Just remember like your buddy J.B.Hunt one day you will be on the down side.

Out of route was 100 miles. Not 300 plus. Your company is in the business to go thru guys, get the stipend money from the government and try to make people feel like they are below you on superiority list. Obviously you are a person who has never driven or the computer drives for you. Park it where? Route solution sends you down a pig trail road that takes both lanes to turn in. I guess in the middle of the road is a great place for a person who lets others always make their decisions for them. You do not need me to make you look bad sir just look in the mirror. It will answer you. I have over 10 years of service and have never been told by a dispatch he is my boss. What a joke. He does not even know how to shave. By the way who asked you to reply to my post.
