Sorry to hear you had a rough day ropestar, but that is trucking. You'll make up for it down the road on another load...
I myself try to stick to "local" now more than OTR stuff. But my local is a 300-400 mile radius of Chicago, and I can usually do $1k to the truck a day sticking to it on the platform side. Just have to keep myself from calling on the big money loads going west. I'm getting better at it LOLherfinharry Thanks this. -
Dam thats my problem try and stay in the area of home, ie within 1,000 mile. But to no end i'm a #####, just not a cheap one! you dangle that money in front of me and i cant help myself,,,, LOL
herfinharry and SHC Thank this. -

Don't ya just hate when they throw great, wacking loads of cash at ya? Years ago, was setting in Tooele, Utah, looking to go home to Portland, OR and finish the year. Greg at SAM calls with a 650 lb, 1 pallet load to Vermont, paying 14 grand to the truck. Found the most direct way to Portland, via Vermont.
Travelinman and SHC Thank this. -
Well we were supposed to be done With that local at 2130, Got done at 0015! Heading to out next load now... Gotta say Ford unloadef it right away tho...they must have actually needed it rt then! Lol

The March issue of Overdrive's Landstar advertisement states that LS is looking for refrigerated trailer, straight truck and power only teams with temperature validation experience. Does anyone know if this is a new venture for LS?

I thought it might be related to FedEx stuff.
The recruiter said they don't really do reefers ... That is what my wife and I have done. I will look into it once we are set up.danmc911 Thanks this. -
LAN agent is the ones looking for reefers. Seems they have a meijer grocery chain account and they are looking for reefers to run the NW and back to michigan.
russellkanning and danmc911 Thank this.
