What is your opinion of it? The reviews on amazon (granted only 11) are pretty negative. It gets 2.5 out of 5.

i have a cheap 400 watter from walmart. pluged into the socket with a 6 ft extention. i hate firing up the truck and the dang thing beeps when it's on so i have it sitting behind the passenger seat now so i can turn it off or on as needed. it also has a meter so i know what the dc voltage is at the socket. and what ac volts it's putting out. and the wattage output only hits 120 if i have both printer and laptop turned on.

it only runs my laptop which does tv. and my printer. and the inverter isn't on when the laptop is on. i shut her down before turning on the inverter. that way it only touches the battery. printers are cheap and a dime a dozen but i've the same one for 2 years now.

I grew tired of buying those cheap low quality "modified sine" inverters you find in Truckstops so this time I bought a "pure sine" 1500 watt inverter made by Gopower.
Bought from Amazon and yes, they're more expensive but this thing is built like a tank. I have it mounted behind the drivers seat on one of the cabinet walls and of course direct wired to the batteries with a Gopower 50amp fuse. The cables are really thick about a 2awg and I had a problem getting them to fit in the inverter terminals so I found these neat connectors which I soldered onto the ends. They are tapered and fit nicely so you get a good contact. Works great no problems.
