I remember being told policy was 30k. I also typically won't scale unless it's at least 35k. If you've got a fully loaded trailer, it's pretty darn hard to make you overweight on an axle with only 30k on it.

30K was never a "policy", per se. More of a suggestion. If all SNI drivers scaled every load of 30K or more, they'd have a conniption over the expense....probably re-adjust your ambient sensors to 10-80 degrees to offset the cost of the scale tickets......

When I was in my Century and Glider I used a truck xm antenta bolted to the pass mirror mount. Never had any real issues unless there was a mpuntain rigjt next to me or I was headed west in Northern Maine.

With my Cascadia I tried the pass mirror with the button ant but it didn't work well. I moved it to the top of the cab over the pass aide bunk window. The cords runs down thru the bunk window, behind the cabinets, under the weather stripping on the door and across the dash. No issues on reception but I would suggest you run the cable before you use the 3M tape to mount it on the roof - you don't want to be a foot short.

Nah I used the big antennae. I mounted just above passenger door on the outside. There was a place where a mirror was supposed to be mounted. There are two torx screws there. If you have the same truck mount it up. No more fading in and out. It extends above cab.

I bought a mirror mounted satellite antenna from a Pilot. It was $60 and I haven't had any issues.

I don't see how they'd have a conniption as all scale expenses are tax deductible.

I had a 30k load that was 3k lbs heavy on the ### end, my personal opinion is to scale anything over 25.k

Had a live unload in Phoenix AZ at 15:00 then I was supposed to pick up a loaded trlr 2 miles away. Place was supposed to be open until 23:00, I arrived at 17:30 and no one was there. Several hours later after talking to support shift I was told to wait till the morning. Then a few minutes later I get a trailer # of the loaded I'm supposed to pick up. That trlr was empty when I got there..... now I'd like to get some sleep but my truck won't idle despite it being 89 degrees.
