Rob Low bought this. Ron Low owns that. Rob Low doesn't *own* this, he has 51% share in it.

    Ugh.

These stories are annoying. And even if he did... Who cares! Holy crap. Even if it were true... What the hell is wrong with it?!

It seems there's nothing wrong with making money if you're a company driver, or an owner of a single truck. But if you're successful, you actually get past the couple of truck stage... then it becomes a sin to make money. OMG! He bought another company!!! He's making more money!!!! How evil!!!!

    #### man. Mr Lowe is my idol. Mr Werner (old man) too. I want to start with one truck and end up more than comfortable too. The American dream and all that.

Goes way back to the Bible days folks...I believe it is even one of the commandments: Thou shall not covet they neighbor.....so naturally it's one of the single greatest things we do as humans. We often covet (meaning to be envious and want) what our fellow man has. I've been guilty of it myself. But, like "Awbro" said...who cares! The only part that concerns us, is the fact that the ThermoKing APU's was a better APU than what we have now...that's it. The rest is irrelevant.

Day ? of training. Who knows, days tend to blend in once you get out on the road.

I know yesterday was the first day of full driving for me. I figured I was going to put in 3-4 hours of driving my first day? NOT...hehehe

Here's what I did my first full day of full driving:

    -Drove on freeways
-Drove through major freeway construction through 2 cities
-Dropped and Hooked by myself twice
-Ran through 3 DOT Scales on our trip
-Ran through a Trailer Wash at a Beacon outside of Indianapolis
-Worked through issues with a tandem not sliding, learned how to bump it with a curb
-Drove over a bridge under construction with only one VERY narrow patch of road that was available
-Drove my full legal shift with only 3 min left on my 11.....

What do you think...good day? hehehehe

I was beat up when I hit the bunk....

FYI - I know some of you are going to give me flack about driving so much my first day. I know we were taught in class that you're to work up to it, but the reality is...when you get out on the road with a Lease Operator, the freight schedule is going to dictate what we drive, not the "ideal world" of slowly working up to a full day. It's just the way it is....

Back to Indianapolis today to pick up some Ice Cream and heading off to Denver.

    Safe Driving everyone!

Yeah, but it was NOT 11 hours. A drive from Troy, Il to Rochelle IL. A couple hours at best.

GR is probably regurgitating a line of BS from his instructor. Yes there are realities in this business in regards to operating schedule. However, the instructor is breaking all the guidelines for new students Prime has set forth.

I'm sure he told GR that he's so exceptional that he had confidence he can handle a full shift. It's not right, and not safe.

That instructor never should have accepted a load that put his truck and GR in that type of driving situation. He's playing with fire and if any little thing should happen both of them could be out of Prime. The Instructor for going outside guidelines. The student could also be let go for causing the problem/accident and having known the guidelines were set forth and explained during ororientation.

I heard with my own ears from Mr Lacy himself they let both people go in an incident where the instructor had a pet on the truck, the student claimed the pet got underneath his feet and caused the accident. The student knew the rules of NO pets on training trucks and had no right to agree with the instructor when the instructor asked if he minded a pet on board in full violation of the rules.

this includes the prohibition of night driving hours.

you don't know what reality is yet after your first day driving.

Reality is what your Instructor tells you.

He never should have accepted a load that forced him to have you in the seat that long your first day out driving. He's thinking with his wallet and not safety. That's the reality.
