I bought an old Pride transport truck where I was the third owner.
07 century, APU, 13spd, 3.42 DDS60
Pretty much all the hard mechanical Spec's I could have asked for.
Found it online on truckpaper last May.buddyvuk Thanks this. -
, its got 795k miles and he is only asking 25k, dry motor but the engine sometimes chokes when at low rpm... it could be egr valve ..i dont know -
That model of VOLVO had front end issues and is on the otherside of the country. If your starting out look for an EX WALMART or PRIME tractor , specd right and had decent maintenance.

I bought a 06 9400 I, from Kenworth in Spokane, for that price, they have lots, Systems traded most all of them in. I picked the cleanest one of the bunch last
June, 815000 miles 945264, miles on it today. 1 EGR valve, 1 wheel seal, oil sencer, and alignment, are the repairs so far, not bad for a ISX , There is bound
to be another one by now there that someone took care of, there are also those ones that stink so badly , you cant go in to them, bet they'r willing to deal on
them by now. Did have the overhead done , there is NO pitting or any bad spots visable. Motor didn't look fried like some of them did, been a good truck -
Just be careful, If the seller isn't willing to give the trucks history, I would run, If it has had top end gone thru and the bottom rod and main bearings done I would certainly look at it closer, have a dyno ran on it, It isn't a big expense but one that can save you alot of trouble down the road. Good Luck Driver.

I have had very good luck with Penske Used Truck sales. I only run day cabs. I bought an 04 sterling single axel for 16k 230k miles cat motor, an 05 Freightliner Columbia 28k 420k miles 60 series detroit, and an 04 Columbia 22k 505k miles 60 series detroit. The biggest repair I have had to do to any of these trucks have been U-joints on both of the 04's, brakes drums on the 04 Columbia, and slack adjusters on the sterling. Very solid vehicles, no mechanical issues at all. Also penske turns over all maintenance records down to replacing the ashtray to you so you know what has been done to the truck.
