thats what I do anyway when I have to deliver into a big city, for instance I stop in Indio and get rolling really early to beat all the traffic into LA area.

Ask, ask, ask... about where you are headed. Other company drivers, here and on the CB on the way to new places.

I ended up at a place in NO without food, I called for a pizza, they took my order, then called back to say they did not deliver to where I was!!! Hahhahaahaa

But still did not have any problems.

Trucking don't know anything about Male or Female. It's just as much a danger to Men also. Park where you won't be a target. Anyone can be attacked.

the TA's in ontario arent that bad. ive stayed there a few times and never had an issue. now west memphis is a whole other story lol. i stayed in palestine arkansas a few nights ago and i wouldnt recomend that place to anyone!! i have no doubt you will be ok out here like others have said keep an attitude and always question people and why they are coming around your truck! it might come off as rude but when people come up to me im always questioning them and wondering why they want to talk to me. its not a bad thing to keep an attitude and act a tad stuck up

The best part of Ontario is knowing I'm almost at the end of my trip. I always stayed on the east side.

My last trip there I was heading on the side road to the entrance. Walking down the middle of the road zigzagging was the skinniest crack lizard I've ever seen. Have you ever seen one of them walking stick bugs in a tree? She looked kind of like that. She'd be lucky if she made a nickel. :)

I would check to be sure that there are no legal issues in carrying those stun guns. They may or may not fall under firearms laws.

I do realize that you are looking out for yourself, however, you also do NOT want to run the risk of being terminated form your company, or God forbid, run the risk of going into a state or federal penitentiary.

    Good luck to you!

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

more or less , the same as anywhere else. Anywhere is dangerous for a women who is not armed and aware of her enviroment and whats going on around her.... Follow all those same basic safety rules for wimmen and you will be ok. Use and escort when possible , stay in well lighted areas , safety in numbers , never fear to ask a fellow driver for assistance, 98% of us will more than happy to give you a hand or needed help just as we would do for other drivers..... Buy a good pistol and learn to use it , keep your doors locked at all times , i am sure the other drivers will think to add anything i have forgotten, remember, ya can't fix stupid or dead so just pay attention , good luck to ya and god bless...
