Should be able too - keep the left door closed. Pick up early and deliver early when even possible and the loads will continue to come. I have lived that way since I started 3 years ago and sit a lot less than most. But there are times that I do. I too stay out about 4 to 6 weeks at a time and I've done well.

 

I came in at like $48K my first year on regional. OTR it is definitely doable.

 

Dropped in Reading PA today. Headed to Camden New Jersey tomorrow to pick up paper going to Rock Tenn Syracuse New York. First place i've been nervous to go so far. The history for this city speaks for its self.

 

The place in camden sucks hard. You may have to pull partially off the scale and back up onto it to get straight if there are trucks on the smaller scale. Also its really really tight inside with trash and bales everywhere. When you pull off the scale pull down towards the docks and spin it around, you will see a path towards the right of the scale with trash on both sides. You want to pull up into there to sight side it into the docks. There are only two docks and if another drive is in one when you pull in, its gonna be lots o fun. Also may want your tandems all the way up to help get around in there.

 

Missed the tractor number, but finally got to see a Millis truck heading North on I71 just coming into the city of Columbus, OH today at about 3:05pm. If it was you, just know you brought a smile to someones face


Been lurking for about two weeks. Might be getting furloughed in June and thinking a career change is in order. Basically have it narrowed down to Millis or one other company. So time will tell, but want to thank all of you who post.....You provide some insight to those looking for information and I enjoy the stories and experiences..

got a load out of mount pleasant, iowa at mackay envelope had to drop empty in yard hook up to my load then drop it in yard and hook back up to empty and back it up to dock and drop then hook back to my load. fun fun and a muddy mess. deleverd it to Oconto falls wi at st paper. but I got to stay the night at iowa 80 truck stop. that place is big and very cool. has three full size trucks and one 53 foot trailer inside.

 

Maybe it was worse when you were here last but it was pretty wide open today with minimal trash and the blindside back wasn't too bad, more of a 45 than anything.

On another note, Camden is a pretty sweet town. Certainly a great place to start a family and raise kids...

What is with all the #### trailers in trenton? They were almost to where we park our tractors by the shop. felt sorry for the 5 guys i saw headed towards trenton while i was on my way home.

 

I dropped one of them last night but it was loaded with gators 5 stops ohio ky tn and sc nice one for someone
