I was drivng for USX for 3mtns and had a major accident, and a couple of "preventables", and was let go by safety. Went to W.E. in Nashville, but the trainer and I didn't get along so well, and I saw a lot of guys leaving for whatever reason, (14 left the 1st weekend of my eval), and several drivers that were switching from van to flatbed said leave before they get you. At the time, I thought it was a good idea, because I just got a copy of my dac report, but since leaving, no company will hire me to drive for them. Not even the local ones that I have applied to.. I got a "updated copy" of my DAC, and noticed that all the accidents, none of which I was sited by the authorities, no ticket, no points, nothing, I did see that USX would "look" at me again. My question is how long do I have to wait for my scores to go down and become hire material again?

DAC sucks. You can't do anything except refute what is on there. There is a web site called DACfix.com i think it costs $80 or at least it did 4 years ago. I am not recommending them but they will do what they say they will do. But if everything on there is true there is nothing you can do.

It never falls off like a bad credit report or a csa2010. That is why the very best companies don't use DAC. An angry employer can put anything they want on your DAC report for I think $7 and all you can do is write a rebuttal letter.

An accident is an accident. You hit a trailer backin up accident.. u said u had a major accident. Who did they put at fault n what type was it

Also 3 months n u had couple prevntables.. and one major. Maybe u shouldn't be behind the wheel. Today was my 2nd accident first was side swiped in Austin driver left. Today I hit n killed a dog in front of there owner. Was dark out n dog ran right at truck..

Man that's tough dude but why do you want to keep driving if you keep hitting stuff? Most of us In our rookie season hit something but not 4times in 3 months. I also don't think USX got you dude you got yourself either because you didn't goal or just got careless either way you are at the bottom of the list as of now. The major accident you speak of...is not on your DMV record? No cops involved then ? You obviously hit something pretty hard in private property. Try some Mom and Pops or even 1099 oportunity if it comes up those owner ops don't care about DAC. GOOD LUCK.

you'll get a job. just don't apply with the megas. cuz they all use dac.

there are way more companies that DON'T use dac then DO use dac.

the only dac company i worked for. was school. 13 years ago.

and by the way. i STILL knock crap over. 10 years in the construction industry teaches you to be on your toes. cuz there will ALWAYS be something in your way. i've even had equipment operators BANG INTO ME.

Most companies allow 3 accidents in 3 years depending on the severity and details. Learning to drive a truck is not about getting through the accident part. Most potential drivers don't hit anything or maybe one backing accident. If you are repeatedly hitting things than you are a high risk and maybe not cut out for driving. You are there to make them money, not cost them money. Would you hire you?

There is nothing special DACfix does that a driver can't do for free. All they do is file a dispute on your behalf. A driver can do that. It all boils down to the company having to prove what they wrote. A driver is allowed one free copy of his DAC a year.

Lets not confuse fixing a DAC,

    and filing a dispute.

    There is a big difference.

A dispute is basically your side of the story.

Fixing a DAC, is getting information removed from the report.

    And you can do this,

but you need to know how to go about it......
