If it was like mine several years ago. First they take you to get your physical/drug test etc. Then you come back, its paperwork, and then several more days of watching endless hours of web videos on different aspects of what to do and what not to do.
All in all, I believe the orientation is 4 days long. During that time you go for a road test, usually get but maybe not, a boxed lunch of some provided for free.
I just looked at your city, I lived in Greenville for a number of years, even attended ECU after I got out of the army at Ft. Bragg.
I wouldn't worry about orientation being intense or anything, just try to stay awake during the videos, pass your physical and road test, and you'll be on your way!!!
Good luck to you, hope to see you out here. -
Thanks so much, do they a physical assessment, like pick up weights, push ups, pull ups, etc.

passing the physical can be rough,as long as U can do 25push-ups........just kidding.

Ask for William wood for a mentor. He goes by Sherman. Spectacular guy and mentor. Took great care of me and trained me right. Stuffed me with food.

Good luck Robbie, it's a 2 1/2 day thing. You'll watch videos, sign paperwork, verify info, have a physical, or drug test. You'll also do a road test, unless you graduated from a swift academy. If you recently graduated from a swift academy you won't have to do the road test, you'll be 240 hours with a mentor. Also you will learn what you'll make while on duty not driving and while on duty driving. Make sure you stay on on duty not driving at shippers and receivers. Ppl say it eats your 70 but it's more important for you and your family to make money and not just twiddling your thumbs worrying about 4 days ahead and shoot yourself in the foot financially. Don't let anyone make you do anything that is against company policy and most important your wallet.
txpride76 Thanks this. -
Is there any kind of dress code for orientation, can you wear shorts, t-shirts etc.
