Schneider will be out of sand hauling by end of this there. They are a pain because they have to turn down loads because nobody wants to work for them, they only haul 25,000 lb, if you want to sit at a wells all day in a day cab then so be it. Nobody give them any respect they are a joke. If you want to be looking for a job again in a few months then go work for them.

 

Can I ask how you know this?

 

I've been driving in the oilfield for 5 years and I have an 8 year old dwi. There's plenty of companies that will hire you after three and five years.

 

I've been hearing this thru the grapevine... thanks for clearing that up for me. I am right in the middle at 4 yrs ... I am going to take a chance and ask for what I am worth.

Me99; any ideas as to who would be good to look into for a newbie in the fields? I have about 18 mos. past experience otr & will get my cdl next week.
For now, I want to drive down & see if they are offering "paid training???" (N.S.A. or by contract; not my desire).

Also, a company that offers housing.

Not trying to ask too much, just trying to see if you folks who are there, know who's got the golden gate open

Nabors and key may hire you but I'm not sure if they train or house people anymore. Depending on how old you are you might wanna check out frac tech and some of the other frac companies around west Texas.

Key will train, but not house.

 

SNI on the most part here in west Tx haul 45k in SLB trucks and 48K in there own trucks (some with sleepers) Dont speak of which you know not. Been there done that! Have you?

 

i am a recent graduate with no experience, and i want to get into the oil field. does schnider train in the oil field or otr for hours?
