Well John makes me wanna reconsider my decision with the move I made, but I think I'm to far away from I40 to get hired. Anyway we have 2 dispatchers for 30 drivers and when 1 is out it seems like the one left is overwhelmed and has a hard time finding loads. Well I got my hazmat now so they have no excuse to not run me.

With you and the wife expecting yet another kid, you need to stay closer to home. Congrats on the hazmat endorsement. I haven't needed the use of mine in at least 6 years.

Got a message from dispatch yesterday to drop this load in the yard and hook to a 2 stopper going to the house. I'll be home around 11 in the morning.

I'm home. Got here at 10am. I need to make my first drop in Hialeah in the morning then my last drop Wednesday at Cape Canaveral. For what ever reason, the load was loaded this way. No matter to me, I get paid for the miles, instead of 825 it comes to 1160. One thing I truly like is the way we are given our miles, it comes across as empty miles first, then loaded miles. I am on my 4th load and every one has been spot on in regards to total miles and the actual miles I've driven.

I need to give myself a break, this learning curve for me has been off the charts. I woke up this morning in Kingsland, drinking a cup of coffee when it finally dawned on me, if I was doing anything wrong, they would have called me by now. I need to lighten up on myself a little.

Everyone who has followed me at the other company knows how I feel about running a ton of miles to make a living, I still believe in that but with a little different approach. We get paid every 2 weeks, if I am out for 10-14 days then I want to run and not sit. I'll sit when I get home. Wednesday will be one week at the new job. I will be empty on my seventh day and will have been paid on 3467 miles and 2 extra stop offs. I have been told by every driver I have met here that they average 3200 p/w.

Good Luck on your new job. Those who follow you, know you'll do good cause its all about a good attitude and work ethic. Is Abilenes' requirement to be out 10 to 14 days or can you get home weekly. Lots of people here are along for the ride with you and if we have questions, you'll give us the real answer, not what we wanna hear. Thanks JohnBoy, congrats on the new job and best of luck to you.
