From Day One - Abilene Motor Express (Richmond, Wytheville, VA)

Got up Sunday morning and went in to see dispatch, they said the team freight wasn't looking so hot. After looking around we finally settled on a Hill Phoenix load that delivers in Tucson, Az. Wed. Morning. Not great but at least we're rolling. Gonna see if maybe we can drop it in Dallas tomorrow and get something else to keep moving. If we have to stay on it until Wed. It won't be the end of the world. Be safe!

Got emptied out in Monroe, nc heading over to hamlet, nc loading up to drop on the yard in Richmond take a reset

 

Got empty in Tucson this morning along with about 10 other Abilene drivers. We got a load loading in Tucson going to Laredo for tomorrow morning. Hopefully we will get something from Laredo headed to Va. since we have home time for Sunday and Monday. Shawn's sons birthday is Sunday. Be safe!

 

Wow, You Guys Train For A Good Long Time, Huh?

 

Wjewan23 I know you have been to Laredo before, what did you get out of Laredo when you were there before?

 

A driver fresh out of school is on the truck for 6 months or 50k miles. Very thorough training program.

 

I had a variety of things loaded on my trailer. The only thing I remembered on there was small metal pipes everything else pallets of something in boxes can't remember. I was overloaded to the door my load had went to nc, pickup was 15sec around street from my delivery, lots of truck traffic in the area as well. There's a usx yard in Laredo as well but they kicked me out, said Abilene was no longer welcome had to exit property. Runningman where are y'all headed to?

 

Delivering a load of canned green beans to a warehouse here in the morning, and already have a preplan to reload a load of cervase headed back to Virginia once empty. We ran into a driver yesterday while delivering out in Tucson who tried to tell us he has been trying to get home for 3 weeks..... I call BS on that. Every time I have put in for home time they have gotten me home when I requested it. There have been a few times when I have in doubted they would get me hone on time, because I was way out in Wyoming or something. They have always made my home time request a priority . Be safe
