a house with 20+ people is not a man camp. Or not like any I ever lived in. And I have been in them in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan. Afghanistan was mostly tents. Very little theft and when caught dealt with severely. Iraq and Kuwait were very similar to the camps springing up all over S TX. Small stick built or manufactured housing. Some with bath for each and some 2 sharing. Have seen one ratty one that had 4 separate rooms sharing one bath. Some of the nicer ones have dining halls open pretty much around the clock. Just like everything else the management makes or breaks the camp. Put up with noise and filth and there will be fights and trouble.. Demand adherence to a few sensible rules and they can be fine.

Are we talking semantics here, when I went they were hiring people right out of cdl school who could fog a mirror. Those days are gone now and yeah there were fights and we did everything we could to weed out the bad ones but drivers quit daily. One day you have 7 in the house 2 days later there would be over 20 the next day you were down to 10. Orientation classes were 160 after a month we generally had 40 left. Some of the man camps were shipping containers which I would of preferred. Most of the people I was with were gone after 2 months so turnover was a nightmare. Now when I worked on a crab boat if you were a thief you could disapear so that was never a problem.

What channel do they run on up there? I've been in and out of Williston the last few weeks and hadn't heard much on 19. I didn't bother searching other channels. Maybe next time up there I will.
