What happens if u leave and refuse to pay the loan? Anything could happen... Sometimes I don't know what the hell I got myself into I feel like leaving.

They can't kill you. Nor can they take your CDL away. They can withhold your PTDI transcripts, and send the balance to collections if you don't pay.

Honestly I thought I was going to get fired yesterday. I T-called a load in Lancaster. Then they sent me a load plan for a 189 mile JIT load with a full 24 hours I between on time pick up and delivery. I asked the dispatch why a local driver wasn't covering the load. His answer? "Local drivers don't go to Houston." I told him that seemed smart, and I don't go to Houston either. He then stated, that even though I hadn't committed to the load, it would be a service failure if I didn't take it. I then told him where he could place the load, and told him that if my miles don't pick up in out the door. It's the first time I've lost my cool, but I refuse to be the lackey to someone with the common sense of a bucket of fecal waste. They had no empties at the terminal, so they sent me to AMBEV in ft worth to pick up an empty. The worst directions I have ever seen. My terminal was very helpful through this process, and are getting me out of Texas before I make a fat dispatcher cry.

I heard from one person when he left Swift didnt bother him but he came back to the company and they began taking money where he left off. They could go to collections yeah, sometimes it cost more to fight for the money than to just leave it be. They can write off most crap anyway so its not like they lose money. If a class begins with even just 20 students *3900 thats $78k plus living cost of $500*20= $10,000 so now they made $88k, they probably pay $500 a month for the rooms since thats what the residents paid when i checked, 6 people per room thats $3000 and for 18 days unless your held back. So for a total month it would be over $100k

Yes they have operating cost but doubt they are anywhere near what they bring in, they use older trucks, fuel and stuff can probably be written off.

Swift is like every company, they want to make money, they are not going to give the training for free. However the training is better than a lot of private schools and some of the private schools cost even more, the one I tried to go to was $4900

As for the guy above would you rather someone live off the system instead of getting a smaller amount of money to get training to find a job and then pay back into the system? Your an ahole just thinking the way you do, I rather get pissed off at the ones who live on welfare with no intentions of getting a job.

His tax dollars paid for me to go to sage. I feel I earned it, with multiple combat tours. If he thinks I should "pay the American People back" as well, he can go pound sand for all I care. There is aHUGE difference between a hand up, and a hand out. Too bad he is to ignorant to realize that.

So, if I went thru Swift's CDL training program and left before my first 13 months were up, they wouldn't care and I'd just owe my remaining tuition?
