How do you deal with this kind of situation where I am.
After waiting and trying all week last week (4-29 5-03) I picked up this load on Tuesday the 7th from NJ to OH from Frt. Qt dot com with anticipation in comments requesting extra for Fuel Surcharge approx $150 which was not honored because they were loosing money on it. Did not say it had two picks within the warehouse neither it said that there will be a detailed count by the warehouse worker at the receiver end. Both sides were appointments and pickup took over 3 hours and delivery took from 7:00 AM to 12PM. All freight was on pallets and shrink warped, but still the receiver wrote on BOL that 2 cases short. I can't believe that because my cameras picks look good on all pallets. Approx 490 miles and about 50 miles dead head to pickup. $600. Tolls all over the road and Ben Franklin Bridge and PA Turn Pike charges according to the weight it was a full load. So I ran to Cleveland OH for breaking even or loosing a little. Now here is the problem, I was asking $3.0/mile on a 350 mile run Fetch Log say why so much??? TQL says $1100 for about 500 miles to bad area in NJ. Let me ask you is this the industry consists of only ****aaash people or have you been lucky to find one good. Or is this happening because of ****aash behind the seen???? According to this run and numbers no one is making money. How could they be loosing money if I am loosing money to do the run??? And yeh there is always some one else on the line to answer the call, but he is always on the other line and not available????

This is a simple fix. If it is a TQL load DO NOT PULL IT!!!! They do not pay their bills!!! Especially if you are an independent stay away. They will make up any excuse not to pay you and keep the money for themselves. They have a boiler room environment their brokers work in. Stay clear!!!!!!

He or She that relies on income from the Loadboards....remember that this freight is for spot only....the freight that bottom feeders try to sell....and freight that is left over....that most use to reposition their trucks so they don't have to dead head.....

    1) They aren't loosing money, otherwise they wouldn't be trying to sell it....
    2) Who cares...?...If your not getting paid an honest rate...move on to the next load....
    3) I've been done with TQL for over 2-3 years...they are a waste of my time....

Yeah they will lose money too. I've heard more than a few cry that here lately. It's bad for business, but hey they won't be shedding any tears for me losing anything if I seek a load from them in July, right?

The industry and the Gov reporting depend on DAT database and some other similar expensive ($300/month) but any time I talk to the people over the phone who support the big guy and not the small guy in all situations, say that DAT is biggest fraud. So if Internet Truck stop and DAT and all other reporting agencies are fraudulent, then it means that this multi-billion dollar industry is running in a complete fraud???? Or the people who answer that the loads have vanished from US and this country is in ever low depression. So I had to run back up to north east empty from Columbus OH after two weeks to book a load close to $3/mile going towards NJ, NY, CT etc. Is it true that every one is starving and not making any money???

I am not starving. Plenty of good paying freight as far as I can see. I clear 2k profit each week without even trying. I do not know who all the whiners are crying that they cannot make a living. Must be company drivers or leased O/O's. i am independent and control my rate though and dont have some trucking company taking most of the load's profit just for dispatching. Lease on trucking companies are bigger leeches than the brokers are. If you want to make a good living get your own authority and learn how to be a business man and a negotiator rather than just a seat warmer.

Took you 2-3 years to realize they are a waste of your time?

No......he stopped pulling their loads 2-3 years ago. Like most people he only pulled a couple of loads before he realized TQL is a rip off.
