Joe.....give me one second. I need to scroll up and review a couple posts.........yep I was right. A few of us have posted our screen shots of miles/pay. What other proof is needed? Like both you and my co workers have said, go to the terminals. Call them out on the cb. Talk to them in that Walmart etc parking lot. Sure you find some not happy, but last time I checked even GOOGLE employees have complaints!

Joe u are wrong on turnover rates. Most mega carriers have 140%+ turn over. I work for a company 7th largest private fleet out here. We got a 30% turn over rate and over 10000 loads aweek

First load was Jan 27 (same day I got my truck). Feb was slow, but March & April picked up as is typical for the season. I also spent an unusually large amount of time at the international dealership in feb & march -- no fault or con-way's... Also Januay's mpg is way off because the truck started out with only 1/4 tank.

As for driver turnover, for the entire industry it's around 100% for brand new drivers within the first year. That doesn't mean everyone quits, it means if a company hires 1000 new drivers on Jan 1, they've hired another 1000 drivers by Dec 31. 700 of those positions could have remained filled by the same drivers but 250 drivers quit every quarter. Or there could only be 300 original drivers at the end of the year -- you just don't know from that statistic.

You also don't know whether they left because they hated truck driving, they became unemployable (drugs or accidents), they switched to a better company, they went local, they switched divisions within the same company (became lease/owner op or went from conway truckload to conway freight) etc.

This thread is a big circle.
You folks are beating your heads against the proverbial wall.
The one poster from NJ has more credibility than ole Joe does.
At least that person posted what he felt was his experience.
Granted it was a negative one, snf personally I don't have any reason to doubt him, it's his.
Joe on the other hand posts the same sewage. He backs nothing up with fact, or life experiences.
    Nothing will change.
Others have provided evidence that would stand up in court.
I for one have grown board of ole Joe.
He hides behind the Internet, sidesteps his words, can't even man up when calling other people liars.
I think I'll un subscribe from this thread, without audience, Joe is talking to himself

I will say again, that Joe is right, and others have too, so he can't make the claim he is the only one doing do.
Talk to other drivers, preferably not to me, usually don't have the time, and I'm antisocial.
But ask around, read other threads.
Don't base your next job from some sewage you read on the Internet.
My honest opinion, you want to sign on or not, it really doesn't make a difference to me either way.

Yessir, absolutely correct. I guess the statistics from studies provided from organizations such as OOIDA, among others, that have proven that there is a 98% driver turnover rate with all the big mega carriers, and the fact that I have been pleading to any possible new drivers to speak with real drivers IN PERSON, means that I am sidestepping words. Again; nice try.
Real truth is; you work for these big megas (Conway included), you are making between $450.00- maybe $700.00 a week on average as a solo driver. All to work upwards of 100 hours a week. And if you want health insurance, you will pay for it yourself from this salary.
For a job with this much responsibility and for the personal sacrifices involved, the driver pay is terrible. With corporate profits at an all time high, and with all the company executives raking in millions of dollars in personal packages, the driver compensation is actually an outrage.
As long as any driver is willing to accept this, let alone to actually defend it, then this situation will only grow worse for the drivers themselves.
Considering that there is a 98% driver turnover rate with Conway, I think that it has been possible that all you "Conway Flagwavers" on these posts represent the 2% of drivers that have stayed or will stay with Conway for awhile.
To all you other 98% drivers out there... sorry for your negative experience and good luck in your future endeavors!

How much over 2500? Twenty-five hundred is nothing, not even 2800 at 42 cents a mile or so. When you run around 3600 a week solo, then I consider that good miles. It seems today many drivers think 2200 to 2500 is good. I have to laugh when some companies promise 2200-2800 a week.

People think that 2500 a week is good because we have been in a depression for 4 years and the people coming into the business don't know any better. The rest of us that do know better have learned to live within the pay that 2500 miles provides. If the economy ever heats back up there are going to be some big surprises to these Sunday drivers and the mega carriers out there as the the new guys will start getting harassed to drive more and the driver in general has more bargaining power.

He's from huntington beach, you must have missed that part, he's special. It also explains is liberal way of thinking, it's unfair that some one made 4 million and he didn't.

You ever stop to think, maybe you just don't know what you are doing. If you are so smart, and can do so much better, why are you driving a truck, why did you start driving a truck.
