Anybody here work for ATS? Don't see much recent info about them.

Everything I have read about them sounds good. Have only gotten to talk to one driver, he had positive things to say about them. Sounds like most companies, do your job and keep your nose clean and they are great. Thinking of going there after I get my year in. Started out bad with a reffer company and now doing van.

Does anyone know anything about lone star. I was accepted to their orientation. But i am hearing on here that they want you to stay out 4 to 5 weeks. Trying to make a decision because i want some flatbed experience - also looking at maverick, pgt, tmc and roehl? Any feedback will be helpful.

Lone Star? With no Flatbed experience? I thought they did Specialized/HeavyHaul/and Oversize only. I am pretty sure that they only do the specialized stuff, but I may be wrong. The reason that you would be out so long is exactly because of the freight that they specialize in hauling. If you have NO prior Flatbed experience, you need to start out a good Flatbed company that will teach you well right off the bat. I pull for Maverick and will of course HIGHLY recommend them. Our RSW (Regional South West Division is a great division). You can also consider these reputable flatbed carriers for starting out- or staying for a long time: 1. Melton 2. TMC 3. Roehl 4. McElroy 5. Boyd Bros 6. BTC (Builders Transport) 6. Buddy Moore
