Ain't never been to California in my life and never will go there. California needs to prepare for carb 2014 not us o/o's. They just need to build one huge dock all the way across the border to cross dock their freight in. Far as I'm concerned with all their emissions bullcrap they need to be cut off from the rest of the country. Hell I had 2 vans from California pass me a few weeks ago when I was heading home. Came onto an on ramp both vans cut me off both had California plates and both vans gave me the finger when I came around them at 70. Guess they'd never seen a truck run over 55. I hate that state hate their ethics and hope the next earth quake drops them off the untied states. If it don't were all going to be screwed with the way carb controls the EPA. Its only a matter of time before anything EPA 10 and back is eliminated or has to be compliant. Surprisingly you can still buy low sulfer diesel in Kansas. Got 109 gallons of that in my tanks right now and that sob has never run better since I've owned it!!!!

I am not sure about this regarding OOIDA. I have been talking with both my State and Federal Reps. as I do live in one of the most Conservative counties in the State. They both are furious as to what CARB gets away with but short of some letter writing and fist banging right now there's not much they seem to be able to do. It needs to be fought in the courts at every turn. So far I am of the opinion if I should get cited to go ahead and request a jury trial and waste everybody's time. IMO where I live I have a winning strategy. If everyone who gets cited would do this and clog up the courts instead of just paying their graft money it could make a difference.

FYI, there are companies of all types packing up and leaving here every week as well as thousands of people a year as well. The libtards simply don't care. Eventually it will catch up to them, it has to. The State will collapse unless the Feds bail them out and then as usual the rest of the country will bear the burden of saving another failed State instead of demanding somebody get serious about running an affordable government. These libtards are your typical PHD booksmart idiots who would take 5 years to analyze how to properly tie one's shoe and once they finally get to it they trip and fall after taking one step then turn around and sue the shoe company to cover up their own self embarassment.

So what model year is the cut off for carb compliance? 2009 and older? So all older trucks have to be scrapped and are not allowed to operate in California? This CARB stuff is insanity.

It depends on the model/engine year of your truck. For example: Your "big block" 2001 KW T600 DD 12.7 would need to have a PM/DPF filter from 2013 to 2021, then you would need to replace the engine with a 2010 or newer engine. You will still run "here". But you "rig" will be put into DB and you will be checked. If you don't have a filter, then you can be fined up to 25K.
