I know what you're talking about. The issue normally occurs because the wheeled equipment usually has tall sidewalls on the tires or the driver (I know, it's always the drivers' fault, jk) lets air out of the tires causing the tire to compress and snap the chain when it rebounds, or causes the binder to open. This is easily corrected by extending the chain out in a more horizontal direction so it has more "angle" to it. I always wrap my levers with bungees anyways.

The ratchets are nice when the space is confined, I just hate having to spray them with penetrating oil all the time.

How many trks. does it take now to haul that bad boy?
I've hauled the main unit before from the ports in Wa. and then one from Savannah and took that one to Jacksonville.
Had to back them on the trl. as it had a counter weight, but no stick or boom. You need a spotter to guide you on safely.

There are at least 2 fall-off loads per unit. Usually the boom is a single load, counter weight ships separately (not sure if the stick ships with the weight or not?) I'm assuming the weight and stick ship together based on weight/dims. Weight comes in at 30k and the stick adds 11k.

Pffftttt... Tennant can haul that entire unit on one truck :p

Speaking of, you're not gonna like this, but yesterday I saw about 10 Tennant trucks pulling steps headed into JD. Then there were about 6 of them already loaded at Walcott, and then I had 7 of them runnig together in brand new 587 Pete's with brand new Manac alumnium steps pass me on 80 near Omaha.

Who'd a thought cheap rates could buy such nice equipment.... quantity I guess

That's the money they got on their tax break.
There was something in the paper awhile back, that the state of Il. was going to give them a tax break for hiring more people in the next 5 years I think it was..

Been to that exact Granger many times, although I'm usually in my pickup.

SHC, you'll be rolling right past Johnson's Corner about 15 mins into your trip. Next time it works out for you, let me know and I'll buy you lunch there.

    SHC Thanks this.
