More than I can say for this week. I hope you BCO's are getting way better rates than they're alerts are for.

Nothing in my area of hauling been over 2.20 a mile some as low as .64 a mile.
The worst part is I received a load alert load paying 858.00 I call agent and don't mention it and he quotes 800. I confront him and he comes up with several weak excuses This is just another reason landstar is going downhill.
the agent code is PHT I would avoid him no need to help dishonest brokers.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

Have you ever heard misery loves company? When your stuck somewhere it always needs to be someone else's fault. Thank god I'm not a BCO. I sure would hate to have only their loads to choose from of late.
They seem like they're going downhill in past couple years. Hope they do better cause they were a lot better company to deal with

Yeah I've heard that from a lot of drivers, business owners,AND SOME OF THE CARRRIERS HAVE EVEN TOLD ME THAT.
However,I'm sure something will change soon for all!!!! Drivers can only be squeezed for so long and then everyone involved start to take notice ...Unfortunately "for some" it's too late.

All brokers (LS or not) are working in a fairly tough market right now. Let's hope it picks up.

The biggest issue I see are guys(gender neutral) run themselves into bad areas and dont network with other drivers and agents! I dont know whats happening on the boxjockey side but heavy is running pretty good. Rates arent to bad but its is a tight market right now all the way around. You need to plan your routes and call the agents ahead of time with your unload date, 7 out of 10 times your phone will be ringing with good loads from good agents! for me I know if im going into southern Fl or New england are Im going to have a 300-400 mile dead head to a good load but thats about the norm for heavy platforms. But again its all about networking and preplanning your loads

Im not seeing a good reason to give L/S such a larg percentage of your loads when it seems that they dont do anything for the driver except restrict them to just their cheap load boards and if you complain, they tell you its your fault for not "networking" or negociating enough when do you guys find time to actually drive the truck?

No doubt charli girl!! Theres alot of places you can lease onto and get 80- 85% and more and they will dispatch for you and let you axcess other load boards if you want, i have been trying to find a good reason to lease with L/S , but i havent found it yet

Yeah I heard that LS used to be THE place to go,after the crash in HHG a lot of the Van Ops went there but all I hear now is that their rates are too low now.But I'm sure once all the good drivers leave, they'll RETHINK it and do a "do over"
lol.. So stay tuned for the "do over" Hee Hee
