If you see a deer, or an opossum, or even even a turtle sleeping on the shoulder, do you take the time to stop, and wake them up so they don't get run over?
Most times, I will admit, I come upon them so suddenly that I don't have time to slam on my brakes, swerve onto the shoulder, and run back and wake them up, but at least I will blast the air horn as I pass them, hoping that will wake them up.
Maybe there should be a law that wild animals, and dogs and cats, too, shouldn't sleep on the shoulders of heavily traveled roads?
Also, I think most, if not all, deer crossings should be closed during the hours of darkness.
Are you kind to animals?

I'm very kind to animals.
I try to always make sure they are centered squarely with a tire before squashing them.
