I really cant wait to start training 6/17 and get in on all this. KMac, Emul, Fozzy, and others. The stories I have read and the advice you give others in the Aviary and other forums are the reason I chose to go with Stevens. Your attitudes, willingness to help and work ethics are a cut above. I rarely see any whining, complaining, or bad attitudes around here. Stevens may be a training company, but from what I have seen and read between the lines, they actually TRAIN. Originally I was going to train in Houston but have decided to wait and go to Dallas in June.
Looking forward to it.![]()

So YOU were the one I couldn't get repowered today!
Sorry. It was one of those days!navypd and TRKRSHONEY Thank this. -

I think the regular posters in this forum, even those who no longer work at Stevens but post from time to time, make a conscious choice to be positive.
Best of luck with your training, hope to see you posting and asking any questions you may have. Welcome aboard.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Well this was one of those days.
I repowered one driver off a good load for OTD. He lost 1900 miles. In return, got 700, plus a one drop 2600 mile preplan that picks up the same day he delivers. And has time and hours to run the entire thing.
But all he could do was complain.
Hung up on a driver that kept personally blaming me for everything wrong in his life. Everything from his not making money to his ex wife. I finally hung up when he told me I could kiss his testicles.
Was threatened with certain repercussions for having been rude to the driver, then documenting it in the job file.
Got beat up verbally for a repower that got the driver a new load that delivered in the same market 12 hours later, but he lost 4 miles.
He couldn't make his load, but it's all my fault that he now has to sit in a truck stop an extra few hours while waiting to deliver.
FOUR FRICKIN MILES!! (I told him next time he was in the yard, stick his head in the window and I'd give him the $1.04 personally!)
I'll probably get reprimanded for that too.
It must be something in the water or the phase of the moon. Everyone was on edge today.
And try as hard as I could, couldn't keep the phones caught up most of the day.
Days like this make me wish I was just worried about dodging tornadoes and hail storms.
Hope all you guys (that I didn't screw up) are doing well. Thanks for all your hard work. It really is noticed and appreciated!TRKRSHONEY and Crazy_Aardvark Thank this. -

Gotta love some of the gratitude....you always do a fine job, Dont get discouraged cuz there are those of us out here that recognize what it is you and your team do behind the scenes, and much of what you have explained in here has helped me relax quite a bit more knowing how things work.
Cant believe 4 miles SMH, next time offer em a bottle of Midol and a box of Tampax and tell em to call ya the following morning
