Ok, I'm hijacking... called the recruiter yesterday to find out about their "southwest regional fleet"... with my two years experience I would start at .31cpm, with the potential to earn up to .04 in bonuses, and the recruiter said to expect 1800-2500 miles per week if I did my weekly reset at home. Well, first the pay is very low, and second I don't see how I can do my reset at home every week unless it's on a dedicated account(which it's not) Guess I'll stay put for now

WTF? .31 with 2 yrs exp to go to Gordon? That's disappointing. Guess I'll have to strike them off my list...

Guys..Gti bases there pay scale on where you live.. for instance.. 5 years exp and living in Midwest area you start at .39 on dry van and .41 on reefer. We do have a bonus program that is figured on miles driven in a quarter and your fuel mileage. As an example the first quarter I ran over 34 k with 7.150 fuel milage and got .03 bonus.
Southwest and west coast get I believe .02 less. I guess they have less competition. Also that is if you are on the US fleet board. It goes down for regional as well as frequency of home time. I always stay out 4 weeks.

They have a yard in Phoenix. That's why they want you to park there. Trust me, not a bad idea, takes liability off of you. And it's their rules as a company. You can't just walk in and start demanding stuff. That's not how it works kid.

It seems like some folks just don't get the fact that companies, in any business, have rules, along with their good points and bad points.

Thanks for the great thread Joe. I've been looking at a few different companies. Prime and Gordon. I have 12 years experience, no accidents or tickets. Last 8 years with the same outfit. 2 trucking jobs in the last 10 years.
