in GA regional we have 3 dispatchers that split up the work load since they work 12 hour days to keep us moving. So in that sense, we don't have ONE DM, we have three!
The learning curve between OTR and regional is basically MOVE FASTER! You will burn up your 14 hours every day on shorter runs. I have been hooked to 6 trailers in one day and bumped as many docks in one day. The more you can maximize your running time the more miles you will have for the week. You will have 5 days to run 7 days worth of miles unless you choose to run the weekend. If you do run the weekend, you will be running recap hours the second week, which means crappy miles. It takes a little while to catch on to the faster runs and getting in and out of breweries and other customers faster to maximize your time.Cammi Thanks this. -
