I just completed the school and am now out with my trainer. Is you just listen to what the instructors tell you and ask questions if you are not sure you will pass the class. Now if you come I. Late every day make a dozen bathroom trips and forget to disclose everything in your past you will not make it. Also if you have been doing any drugs it would be best to wait a few months for your system to clean out before trying, you can not fool the drug test.

So in short if you apply yourself and pay attention you will be fine. The instructors will work with you and help you out.

Yahoo! Don't think I got lost or forgot y'all. I hunkered dwn the last 2 wks & dedicated myself to TDA. Took it day to day. Asked questions , avoided the neg students, read, pased all tests first time w/high scores!! This is an intense school & rewarding for those who apply themselves. Lazy smart #####* don't waste your time or the instructors. Started w 20. 10 in trip planning. Aced the tight maneuver rodeo. My thx to everyone here & from CRS. Professional & courteous. Pleased w my choice. Only phase 1. Next trainer OTR. THAT'S my focus now. Apply & learn. Too many look to far ahead like they have passed & employed. This is an on going interview until you have been assigned your truck. Dress & act accordingly. It helps. Orientation this wk then assigned trainer. And so it goes.

 

I was in the same situation as you. Except mine was 18 an hour, all the benefits I could want. Bonuses every month. But I wanted a change, I was tired of factory. Im in week 2 right now, so far, I have no regrets, Im listening, which means learning. and loving every minute of it. You just gotta decide whether or not to make the leap, I took a month to make my decision, and regret nothing.

 

Hey Tats glad to here you made it through. I am having a blast out with my trainer. I am sure you will too. the one thing is Nothing against my trainer but I want off his truck and to get out driving my own truck. Oh! and making some money.

I have another week and a half. June 6th is the target date for me to upgrade.

 

I'm a vet. I know some company give a discount on training. Does CR do the same

 

Yes I don't remember the amout (I think its 300) but I had a classmate that was and he got a discounted training rate.

 

What's d cost of training. I'm waiting on my ss card and ill be calling to c when I can start training. This week is my last week at my current job.
