I'd rather sit for a week, then hook up to a van. You know the legend about the last time I pulled a van. It's in one of these threads somewhere...

At Gary tonight, with my first solo load picking up in Chicago in the morning, then dropping in Maquoketa, IA, then home! Got issued a 2012 Kenworth today with 90K miles. It's pretty nice. This thing has more gauges than a commercial airliner...lol.. Also, does it always take a crazy long time to cool the sleeper area? I'm dying trying to get cooled down tonight so I can sleep. I have a Aerodyne sleeper cooling system and it isn't blowing very cold air.

Congratulations, and best of luck on your first load. I remember my first solo load a couple months ago, how it felt to be driving alone in the truck for the first time. Sorry, can't help on the cooling system question though.

My Prostar cools quick. Heat not so much. What I started doing was idle the truck (or right before you shut down) blast the cab heat or air for about 1-2 min then shut down and kick on the bunks unit. Seems to work for me.

May want to have them look at your cooling system. My bunk AC dosent work and my FM said we need to get my truck in to fix that. Hes like i can deal with your alignment being off but your not sweltering in your truck.
