Oh yeah , we will always need truck drivers to move "stuff" .

 

I don't know why anyone says the loads aren't moving. In my experience, every load that NEEDS to move gets moved. I think there is probably not an over abundance of freight so there aren't alot of loads that NEED moving. The mega with the shipper contract doesn't NEED to outsource the surplus freight....he can just let it sit until he can get one of his own trucks under it. And in the meantime, he posts it hoping to find a desperate truck so the mega profits without turning a wheel.

After listening everybody I know whine endlessly abut rates going in the toilet I ran my numbers for the second quarter to date. I'm getting the same revenue to the truck, almost to the penny, for all miles that I was getting when I started this job a year ago despite the fuel surcharge falling off a bit.
