I know right. This is my first blow out ever, was just happy it wasn't a steer tire!

It did, I was passing a CR England truck, I'm matched up right beside him and I hear "BOOM". Didn't feel anything, didn't see anything in my mirrors. As soon as I tapped the brakes to slow down I felt the gator let go and it jerked my trailer. I thought my load had shifted, I freaked out but managed to stay calm and get the truck off the road. Went back and saw all my securement was fine and the product hasn't moved.


Then I go to the back and see the tire all fudged up and all the damage. So I pull the truck off the road a little more that way I'm half on the shoulder and half on the grass. Wanted to give the road repair guy room to work safely.

In all it only took about an hour and a half to get the tire replaced from the time I called maintenance to the time I was rolling again

At least it wasn't a super single. Those will scare the crap out of you.

 

The most important thing is no one was hurt and the load didn't get damaged. I've pics on here far more worse than that.

Well, I'm in Jessup, MD at the TA. Gonna take a 34 here while I wait for Monday to roll around so I can deliver this load then go up to NY and pickup my load going to Laredo, TX. That's what I talkin about, 1700 miles here the turn and burn. I'll take that as much as I can get.

 

Sounds like yall are gettin some dang good miles over there! I'm ready!!

 

Yeah I'm getting lucky, off to a good start now for sure. I'll be asking to get home soon, not for home time, just need to get some more clothes and some other stuff. I'll be ordering a gaming laptop to bring with me for weekends like this, gonna be at this TA till Monday. It'll be easier to take these resets if I have some black ops 2 or battlefield to play haha

 

I know another guy who got that same load, that makes three of us so far.

 

4 if you count my buddy that was in my orientation class. He's on his way up here too, should be at this TA tomorrow afternoon lol

 

Well, NY started the blitz a day early.. I got popped for an inspection today near Bath, luckily I was able to talk my way out of having a dead headlight put on the report, so I'm 100% clean and got my sticker for this inspection blitz. Goodluck to the rest of you all..

Now, on my way down to Laredo with some air preheaters...
