what kind of truck do you have? whats you fuel mileage? and how much is your average fuel cost per week.

Every team I talk to are getting 5k or more even with just swapping back and forth. As far as you thinking that people Making good xomments are getting recruiting bonuses well youre wrong at least for my part. I am doing my best to provide a prospect driver as much info as I can so he/she can too one day own a truck like I did..

Cascadia DD15 getting 6.4 mpg heavy & west-bound to 8.9 mpg a couple of weeks ago with 21,000# in the box eastbound. I cruise at 65mph and float the hills for best mpgs. JCT outfits their trucks with the WORST gauge package I've ever seen! No turbo-boost or instant mpg gauges. I recommend getting a ScanGaugeD if you're serious about improving your fuel economy.

I added up my last thirty trips before I got bored. My average length of haul was 1459 miles. My shortest trip was 680 miles. JCT has its problems like any other company, but they do off some nice long runs for solos.

Concerning MPG.....If you are in a Cascadia, you should be getting at least 7.0 MPG. If not, you are not driving it properly. I have a Pro Star. I've had it since it was new. I have almost 500,000 miles on it and I'm getting 7.1 MPG for the life of the truck. That figure is off the ECM reports I pull once a quarter. My latest report was March '13. I keep the printouts with me because no one believes me until I show them the printouts. Yes, I drive slow (usually 62-63 mph), but why do I need to drive any faster??? I make my deliveries on time and there is absolutely no reason to waste fuel.
scottied67, Bigdubber and Alanp613 Thank this. -
Repowering sucks???? Why? Would you rather sit at a customer for a couple of hours or keep rolling? Personally, I would much rather roll than sit. I've gone an entire month (well almost, 25 days) without bumping a dock a seeing a customer's facilities. No burning up hours sitting and waiting.
Bigdubber, Alanp613 and scottied67 Thank this.
