I don't haul wide track equipment over 30k on my step anymore... some here may remember the vid I posted as to why that is, lol. Those tracks are sitting on a piece or channel steel only connected to the main frame rails by fairly wimpy crossmembers and a few gusset braces. Looks like you got it done though ! I like anything over 30 k to be sitting on or a little closer to the frame rails, but I only had to bend up a trailer once to figure that out.

I'll have to post another vid or some pic's sometime. rebuilt the back end of this trailer with square tubing and drop jacks. (mine is a 53' Transcraft that sticks out quite a ways behind the axles. Not really a good design for ramp loading) I'm set up pretty good now, but look at the outside frame rails of RGN's sometime, and then look at the wimpy little channel on the edges of a stepdeck with nothing but little cross members and a few gussets holding it up. IDK, I guess with enough of those gusset's and the weight spread out over 20 ft of tracks it's okay. guys haul 46k excavator's all the time. But it's not for me anymore, I'll let those RGN guys have it. give me something with tracks within a foot or so of the frame rails, I'll haul it. But all the weight out on the edges ? not for me.

I wanted to post this picture under the Flatbed section since it's really not considered Heavy. The truck had broken down and had a little fender bender with the truck that was towing it from Mosul back to Baghdad, this was at a camp near Tikrit.
