I am a designer developing a multitool for oilfield truckers but am having trouble finding info on the internet. Figured I would ask the people who would end up using the thing if they had some insights. Please take a minute and answer some questions for me, feel free to put in any special requests. Thanks for the help!

    1) What is in your toolbox, list everything.

    2) Are there any standard dimensions that are found on all types of oilfield trucks for nuts, fittings, pipe diameters, etc. Or is each truck going to have there own array of sizes for those kinds of things.

    3) What are the heaviest tools you use on the job and how often do you use them?

4 What is the one thing every oilfield trucker needs on a multitool?

Most common tools I use are a 24" pipe wrench, 12" crescent, and a mini sledge hammer. Can you combine all those into one easy to carry pocket tool :) ??

I'd like a valve handle that fits several different size/brand valves found on production tanks and loading headers.

    Logan76 Thanks this.

that would be nice, instead of adjusting the pipe wrench that always changes size driving on the smooth lease roads. :)

Smooth lease roads... that'll be the day. :Bulldozer::Road roller:

I've found that a well-made, brand name crescent wrench tends to stay adjusted better than a pipe wrench.

Balon is the most common brand I see, but there are others, as well. There are other brands, as well; I will make note of them when I return to work in a few days.

I will measure the dimensions and PM them to you (with photographs) the next time I am at work.

Interesting, ever have call for a spanner wrench? From pictures I have seen online, it looks like they might come in handy. If so, what are the most common pipe diameters you work with?
