And thats what government relies upon is people's fear of the bothering them. Most people would rather give them money than have to see them.
Thats ok till you run outta money. Me you already know my choice I'm looking for my million dollar settlement.

i have to run in and out if NY on a regular basis. .. and I have a very good reason for not wanting to be stopped. ..

 

I have been questioned about HUT and KYU for years. Every agent wants you to get KYU when you set up an authority even if you are pulling a 10 ft pull behind (lol). So we never had either. Well then when we switched to big trucks I heard that the had stopped HUT and we don't go thru KY a lot so I was planning to add it soon. NY got us and also decided to cite my driver on several other things which hurt our authority really bad. 90 points when before we had 60 points for many inspections put together. So from now on I am being safe. I got it for my semi's and my hot shots. Some of us cannot afford not to be played. I know they lie. I once called and spoke to two DOT officers at one of the main offices in DC and asked what we could do to improve rating. We were not high then but I was terrified from horror stories. I told DOT that I was told if you got a few good inspections it would help. The answer by both officers was nothing could help but TIME (the time it takes for points to come off in two years). I have since mastered the whole system and I could probably teach a course on it. But that was a flat out lie. I need to see if someone has covered all of that in easy to understand terms on here, and if not that should be my next post. Every independent (and driver) should understand that system to the fullest, but they do not make it easy at all. Reading the website info seems like they are trying to make it more difficult to understand.

 

Total points per inspection is capped at 30 no matter how many it shows. data q's is a joke so they can tell fools the system is fair and right. best way to fight them is ask for a ticket so you can have means to remove it if you win.

 

Yeah my driver was at 30 and then that was multiplied by 3 for time weight bringing it to 90.

 

that's the point, we don't want to put it on the front bumper. and I didn't.

I just went up into ny Thursday on I-81 to Windsor ny with an oversize load. went through the check area in ny they did say a darn thing about my hut being under the door with my ifta sticker. of course I run an oversize sign on the front bumper that would of covered the hut up if that's where it was.

 

i haven't had one on at all this year and I haven't been bothered. .

 

So,it can go on a bumper,right?
