My truck is #11081. Exactly 2 months ago I left home with a fresh CDL, the ink was barely dry. My biggest worry was what would they do to me if I stepped on the grass and/or how the f*** am I gonna remember all this s***? In my first 2 weeks I saw people from my orientation class get booted for being late, hiding injuries, smoking too much pot too recently and some general #######ery. It's inspiring to watch someone who REALLY wants it in the face of a slacker who walks off simply because he's too cool to sweat. It was heartbreaking to watch a guy fail out out during eval days before getting his keys.
Today I am a driver and I'm a better man than I was 2 months ago.
Holy crap! What have I gotten myself into?!?!
Today, I am a Driver

Learn as much as you can about the industry. Someday you might specialize in a certain area of trucking. Don't forget to write out a budget and stick to it. Very important to have an emergency fund. Congratulations!!
