Thank the Teamsters . When they failed to eliminate the restart in court they paid the Democrats $2 million to demand a "review " of HOS .
When all you wanting a different "change " come up with $3 million to buy a regulation then maybe you can be effective . OOIDA only comes us with small change compared to ATA and the Teamsters .

It was not just the teamsters.

The reset issue has been challenged in court many times from other sources than the teamsters.

True , but it was the Teamsters that donated the $2 million to Democrats .

It will pretty much be the same as it is now for teams except the 34 hour reset will be harder for the night driver to get because of the 1-5 am stipulation. It will definitely take a little more planning.

I've said it before . Trucking regulation discussions should be required to be in the political forum because the regulations are bought and paid for with political contributions . True safety is never a factor.

The way some drivers continue to pretend that regulations haven't made trucking safer overall makes me question why some people refuse accept reality. Seriously. It only hurts the first time.

Trucking used to be on more of an honor system. I think we all know how that worked out.

The way some drivers STILL treat paper logs like their own personal passport to driving extra hours is unbelievable. Funny thing is those are the drivers that complain the loudest when things get stricter. Hey geniuses you are the ones giving them the ammunition. The highways aren't your personal playground or your personal piggybank observe the rules of the road and the rules of the profession.

Studies have also shown that 4 wheelers cause the most crashes. How much rest do we need to be safe and productive. One reset is too much. All these laws is all about revenue and nothing more.Yes there are many unsafe drivers out here but it's not from lack of sleep, its from lack of training. But thats ok,FMCSA does'nt see anything wrong with someone with very little exp to train,FMCSA does'nt see anything wrong with companies using trainees for team loads when they only have a weeks exp.Do you by chance see anything wrong with this picture?
