One of the best parts about trucking is being able to stop somewhere in America and have a really good meal so far from home. Not your typical truck stop food(Subway, McDs, Dennys, etc.). Not always easy to find places that have truck parking so I wanted to thank all of those who suggest places. Lets use this forum to get the word out about all those places that have amazing food and trucker friendly parking.

OK, the WOW Diner in Milan New Mexico. Exit 79 on I-40 across from the Petro. Freaking unbelievable. Huge menu and never had anything there that was not great.

And for BBQ, the Salt Lick in Round Rock Texas. about 3 miles East of I-35. They are in the corner of the and share the parking lot for a really nice minor league ballpark so if it is not game day they have TONS of parking and the BBQ is off the hook.

Craig, just looked up Wow Diner. Awesome Yelp reviews and the food look's good in pics. Unfortunately, we just had dinner. Will have to check it out next time. We'll be passing by this place in two hours.

We are running a dedicated route across i40 each week. Also run i5 from Lodi down to LA.
Thanks for the heads up on the WoW diner in NM. I agree on the food at the 49er Pilot TS is good.
The sky Casino in NM has a breakfast and lunch buffet for 5.99 includes a drink! Looking for other ideas
on this route. Was going to try the black bear diner in Tracey CA but didn't see truck parking.

The Dancing Eagle Casino about 10 miles West of Sky City has a great restaurant. We love that one too. They have a truckstop/Dairy Queen across the street.

We love Sky City. I can't believe how cheap the food is considering that the quality is top notch. We always go to Sky City when on I-40.
