More than ample time. But if you can't make delivery, they'll find you a swap witha team.

The fixed and variable truck payment is actually a pretty sweet deal. Can't wait to see what some are going to say about that? LOL

One question how does the new lease payment effect to length of lease?

I would like more info about leasing as a new driver. I need to get my CDL and have run several businesses over the years but plan to lease/own after 2 years of driving unless someone can show me the benefit of leasing being new to trucking etc. Thanks for any input/advice

Stick with your original plan. How much you enjoy two years of slogging through winter weather will help you decide whether truck driving is a long-term career for you or not. Don't complicate it by taking ANY lease deal.

My personal definition of net income is the number which is left after paying taxes and and at least health insurance. Of course paying of a truck is also some kind of income, but than you have to consider depreciatation, which basically evens it out.

The calculation looks pretty tight. Seven cents for maintenance doesn't look much. Not a lot room for error here.

It's not that bad as long as you're getting 7 mpg or thereabouts. But JCT is long overdue to adjust that $.90/mile rate. It's been years since it was raised.

I converted my lease today and couldn't be happier! My payment will be the same on a 2800 mile week but because of the lower interest rate, more will go to the principal thus reducing the length of the lease.

JCT is not offering the new lease program on 2010 ProStars or 2009 or older Freightliners. Some of the PeterBilts are eligible.
