Thought I'd post an update. I seem to have an abundance of time today LOL.

I'm in Irving having work done on my truck. I called to check the status about a 1/2 hour ago. The shop said they have a part being overnighted. As soon as I got off the phone with the shop I called road rescue to get a PO for another nights stay at the motel. I've been waiting for 30 minutes to talk to these guys. The reaaaaaly crappy thing is that the phone rang when I called, meaning there was no other callers. THEN the call went to hold and I've been getting "Your estimated wait time is less than one minute" messages every minute or so. These guys are the lazyest slobs I've ever seen.

Truly. I finally got them to answer the phone. Thank goodness I wasn't stranded on a highway shoulder all day trying to get some assistance.

I really am not a negative person and P.A.M is a company that does what they advertise: They'll give you a start in trucking. But honestly, I look forward to the day where I work for a company that is more professional.

Road Rescue used to be a lot better. I think they made quite a few cuts there

Yeah, they were a lot better before the automated phone system.
BTW, don't know who said general frt is where solos go to die, I've been with PAM almost 6 years now and still avg 2200-2800 miles/wk @ 38.5 cpm. I do have an excellent DM right now and will consider quitting if they transfer me away from him, PAM has gotten better at getting new loads quickly after macro7.
Don't know if I'm an exception, but just glad to be employed with my driving record over last 5 years!!

I averaged that too ... And ...No offense guy but I'm making that cpm now and don't have to put up with half the waiting I did with PAMela ... I just think they are very unorganized and uncommunicative ... I used to ask what the plan was and they always got bothered by the question ... What's macro 7 about?

I'm still fairly new. It seems like the day shift guys are OK, but I have gotten to really hate having to send in an empty call after 5pm.

Case it point: This past Friday I unloaded in Los Angeles, at about 3:15pm local time. I had 2:15 hours left to drive. Mind you it's 5:15 Central. I get a load assignment that was to be picked up at 2:00pm local time and it's about 60 miles away. I send in a message that I have about 2 hours left to drive and that I am in LA. The kid keeps sending me a "Load Confirmation needed" message, which I am able to read because I am on the I10 LA parking lot. I use all but 7 minutes of my time to get back to the TA's in Ontario. The kid calls me and I ask if that load can be picked up in the morning. He places me on hold and a minute later he comes back and says yes.
So the next morning I go to the address of the shipper and find out that they have moved to another building a mile or so away. I go to the correct address and am told by the security guard that they don't ship on weekends.

So, I spent Sat and Sun with a certain digit stuck firmly up a certain orifice.

    mattbh23 and airforcetoo Thank this.
