Okay so the rate may be higher.
But there are other ways to get paid in tanking. Its not all CPM. Rob makes a higher CPM than me but we are on track to make the same amount of money. Ask twicebit what he thinks of Prime. Does Prime have the freight to keep guys running? How many miles are they getting? I dont know the answers because I dont work for Prime. But what I do know is that they are not leaps and bounds better than Schneider.

Ethos, how often do you have to wear the complete chemical suit?

Not all that often. Maybe twice a month if the Gods grown on me. But you never know, I could have five unloads in a row that require it.

True but I get a lot more home time for similar money.

Yes you do but I live in Dallas which is not a big bulk freight area for us. If I lived in Houston I could be home more. Maybe not as much as you but still more. Just to throw that out there. Besides that I like to run if I wanted I could go home more but I would sacrifice money to do that.

I ran 3 or 4 day runs paying $800 - $900 each and would be home at the end of each run driving for Quality Carriers .

Which carriers hire new CDL grads at those rates?

That's about what I make on an out and back 15-1600 mile dedicated run for Superior. It's really not that uncommon with tankers.

The hiring process should take about a week or so. Can't stress the importance of hazmat, take the test asap. Houston is by far the busiest terminal. Expect a minimum of 2500 miles. This week I will have over 3500. It will slow some in the winter.
