I think having a firearm in your truck, is to make you feel secure is because you have insecurity issues. The firearm has to be locked up and stored where you cant reach it while driving, cant take them in many truck stops and none of the buildings. Cant take them in any warehouses Ive been to. Cant remember a time I heard a trucker needed one to protect them self on the job. Im just a little guy and I carry a 4 folding knife in the truck but not for protection, I couldnt get to in time if I did need it. The only time my truck doors are unlocked is when I get in my truck and when I get out.

10 years ago a friend of mine. Also a driver was cleaning out his trailer. A man robbed him and killed him. The driver had a gun. It didnt help him. Just saying. But it is your right. If you want to use that right then by all means do so.

I agree it is your right as long as you do it with in the law, I just dont see how it can protect you if you cant get to it.
