Not surexwhat the law is. But if you still have your cdl it shouldn't matter. Perhaps the recruiter was confused. I recently went through a refresher in Texas at Stevens, which is the one that told you you would need to go to Colorado. Call back and ask for Katrina, make sure she knows you have a valid cdl. You may get a different answer. I believe the law only applies to getting a cdl, not refresher courses.

I probably should. Katrina was the recruiter I had first time around; the newest one sounded very new and like she was reading from the script. When I asked her a question that apparently was off-script, the answer wasn't all that coherent. In fact, I specifically asked if every CDL holder who needed the refresher - EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM - went to Colorado and she said yes, unless they had family in Texas that "could sign for you." I'm still not sure what exactly that means. So I asked if every student at the Texas school was a Texas resident and her answer was...well, I would have to go to Colorado.

    I need to call Katrina.

Friend, if you live in Ft.Worth- you could easily get there multiple times a week.

We get a lot of work in and out of D-FW.
I've picked up everything from medical loads off the east coast bound for Ft.Worth to Ag/Produce loads off the west coast to Dallas.

Seriously, if there's anyone here that doesn't need to worry about getting home; its gonna be you.
