I recently bought a TND720. I've read where the Hd100 companion device was to be released in 2nd Qtr this year to yield a true EOBR. Is it available yet and who has best price? Also, is it working well?

okay, after fighting with recalcitrant wifi and Internet access, installed the update and activated the traffic. So now the adventure begins anew.

Downloaded and installed updated software and maps to my 720. I noticed a few quirks, however. After I completed the map update and restarted the GPS unit, then replug to laptop with the dock software, it still says new map available and only seems to download the settings.ini file, then repeats this every time I dock the unit. Also, 720 seems to work fine when connected to my mifi (AT&T Elevate 4G with latest firmware) for either weather or Traffic Anywhere (which I purchased and entered unlock code) but locks up after about 5 to 10 minutes when both are enabled. Also as an additional aside as far as the download for the updated software and maps; whenever I update the 720 via the dock software, I always also run a diagnostic and repair on the unit via dock. Usually never finds a problem, but this time the diagnostic and repair function of the dock software seemed to have an issue with EVERY file downloaded with the new updates. I did not have it continue with the repair download as I was afraid that it was comparing the new update files to an outdated files database, and, more importantly, it could chew through my monthly data allotment and I am about near the cap.

I used to be in computer repair, so I think I am a bit savvy with them. If you could relay that info, that would be great. Also, after further testing, my 720 seems to lock up when the weather is being displayed and not just both weather and traffic. Hopefully your info will alleviate that issue as well.
