I drove propane tankers for a year, and loved it. However, you really have to be aware of the very high center of gravity of these things.

This is the most likely what happened. Driver had some bad habits from jerking around box trailers. Could have been a steer tire blowout as well. Probably never know about that as the tires are burned off.

The truck never caught fire at all.. The can just spilt apart.

Oddly enough SAFEWAY puts trainees on propane.

Why? My first driving job required hazmat.

I heard one of the drivers passed and the other was in critical condition but didn't know which one passed nor what happened to the other driver.. does anyone here know these details?

Is there any information about Safeway Transportation out there? Are they a good company to work for or not? This is a tragedy, does anyone know how the company handled it?

I posted another message and wanted to see if you could give me any information on Safeway transportation. Any info good or bad would be helpful. My husband is looking in that area for a tanker job and I research the company prior to him applying.
