If i'm not mistaken they train you but you still have to goto DMV. I guess that's not a bad thing. I looked into myself and opted for AIT. It was well worth it for me.

I went to American Institute of Technology (AIT) at their Las Vegas campus. Their main campus is in Phoenix. I was very pleased with the training I received. They are an accredited school.

    AZ DMV...

AIT has three (3) different courses. I'm taking the four (4) week course (highly recommended). This is a full time course and you learn A LOT really fast. I'm in my last week.

I think the other courses are like 8 week and 14 weeks long ( i'm not sure) and are part time classes. These are way too long (my opinion only). Have your friends call them.. Ask for Sommer. She is realy cool and straight up. I'm extremely pleased with AIT and my instructors.

I think it was actually $3770.00 give or take a couple of dollars. The only thing with the 4 week course is that you pay up front. Where the other classes offer Financial aid.. ( I don't know if that matters or not)

I test out tomorrow and can start working immediately if I wasn't picky.

They (AIT) make sure you have a job before you even get placed in class.
In addition to that you get ALL your endorsements.

I'm really happy with them so.

Hi psychocreep! Question since you're fairly local to the area... did you look into Sage, through Mohave
Community College in Kingman at all? I am considering them, and have heard some fairly good feedback
on several other locations of Sage from various people on this board.

If you did check out Sage, what made you decide to go with AIT instead?

I Did check out Sage at MCC. My problem with Sage is that there were too many uncertainties and not enough professionalism (MY OPINION ONLY).

The folks at AIT are "Straight Up" and extremely professional. The Instructors LOVE what they do and enjoy doing it.

I don't want to bash on Sage in Kingman, but what I will say is that particular school was not for me and I'm satisfied with the decision to go to AIT.

Michelle and Audra are great women over there at Sage. I think at times they get a bit overwhelmed with it just being the two of them, but they are really cool and great to work with.

Hope this kinda helps... let me know if you want more info..

Another benefit with AIT is that the instructors that are training you are also the one that are giving you the road test. It was very nice testing with someone you are familiar with. I knew exactly what their expectations where. Besides, having your road test at the school is a lot better than fighting the lines in DMV.
