I imagine the gunshot would cause me to swerve ( accidentally of course ) directly into that vehicle and destroy it, also backing over it several times until my temporary gunshot stress disorder wore off. Then I would get out and see what I could do to help that poor deranged individual, like scraping him off the pavement.
What would u do?

I believe if some shoots at you, at that point anything you do becomes self defense.. But there better be a bullet hole in the truck or something to prove it..

After thinking about it,I don't know if going after them would be such a good idea. They may just shoot again.Call the cops and hope you did'nt ruin their day because they now have to do something.
mje Thanks this. -
It really depends on how much traffic is not the road. I would like to say I'd run them off the road and not let up on the throttle until the car was crushed but I also don't want any innocent drivers getting hurt due to my actions. That's when the law would throw the book at you.

Consider this: You have been shot at by a vehicle beside you (as OP posted). You're in a big slow accelerating truck. They shot at you once, so do you really think that avoiding them and calling the cops is the right thing to do? What do you think the shooter is going to do in the 10 to 30 minutes (or more) before the cops get there?
As for me, I won't hesitate to ram the SOB off the highway (clear self-defense) in a heartbeat, and try to seriously disable him & his vehicle on the "first strike". If it's still operational and he tries again... katie bar the door on strike #2!!
Choosing to call cops in any present life threatening situation, in my book, is akin to being a sitting duck for his further shots/rage.
Here's one instance of how to smartly save yourself instead of waiting for the cops to rescue you. (Note: Victim was even "safely" double locked in her home before calling 911).

I guess I would take my chance in court cuz I'm put my life first think about it. You slam on brakes now they in front of you shootin at ur windshield..
mje Thanks this. -
Fact is nobody knows how they'd react to that situation. Many might even crap their pants if they saw a gun being pointed at them.mje Thanks this.
