"I am not wanting an argument. I just hope being a pilot, you don't mislead in comparing a plane gps and a car gps.
If you are a pilot then maybe some up dating might help you. We were talking about speed dude, no one said they are the same, but relative to speed navestar has not changed. But then you would not know about that would you if so you would not have made those remarks. Get some more time and know your systems.
Navestar has been used for years.
The Global Positioning System, formally known as the Navstar Global Positioning System, was initiated in 1973 to reduce the proliferation of navigation aids. By creating a system that overcame the limitations of many existing navigation systems, GPS became attractive to a broad spectrum of users worldwide. The Global Positioning System has been successful in virtually all navigation applications, and because its capabilities are accessible using small, inexpensive equipment, GPS is being utilized in a wide variety of applications across the globe.

Pulses per mile are easy to figure out, all tires publish rotations per mile (or just measure and do the the math, then you just factor in the rear ratio and 16 VSS teeth. -
I'm not 100% familiar with Petes, but I do remember doing this by computer only with Cat engines. Internationals have the dip switches aswell, but they are only needed to be set with a mechanical engine. Yep, I guess he will have to check the vss and see what he has.

Back to the original post.
If your Pete has a Dixon speedometer, look them up online and call them. They were very helpfull to me when I had this problem, and my trucks run 100 mph speedos, which no body around seems to know how to fix correctly.
In my case, the ecm controlled my speedometer reading, and the dip switches just did odometer adjustment.
Good luck high roller..... -

measure the distance of one tire rev. lets say 144.5 inches. the distance of one mile in inches is 63,360. so divide 63,360 by 144.5 = 438.477508651. this is the total tire revs in a mile. now multiply this by the gear ratio. say 3.73 = 1635.52110727. now multiply by 16 the number of teeth on the chopper wheel = 26168.3377163. this is your ppm. pulses per mile = 26168 this adjustment is made in the ecm. it is not done with the switches on the back of the speedo dont mess with them.

If a,b, and c are given distinct points in the plane the locus of points p satisfying the equation is a generalized circle also it may either be a true circle that is equating to a line thus this sense a line is a generalized circle of infinite radius, I'm sorry but that just puzzled me.
