You've got it backwards. Any company that takes 3 weeks to get back with you is obviously working very hard to ensure that they are hiring safe, legal, and responsible drivers. It's why Maverick holds one of the highest safety scores in the industry. We don't take just anyone. There were slightly over 34,000 applications in 2010 to Maverick, and less than 850 of those were hired.
I'd be wary of working for any company that hired me on the spot. If they don't care who they hire, what are the chances they'd care about their drivers, freight, equipment, and regulations?
How long for maverick

Very valid points. It's worth the wait.I just did'nt think companies take that long.Which explains the high score.

A lot of companies ship 'warm bodies' into their orientation, THEN decide to do all the background checks and such. Maverick does all that before they pay to have a driver sent into NLR just to find out he/she has 10 tickets and is a felon. When a student gets sent to Little Rock the job is theirs to lose...
