    OK, your situation is somewhat unique, since about 99% of the time, you deliver your load TO THE CONSIGNEE. But this does happen occasionally. The original shipper does not want the product back, especially if it is a custom order, made especially for the consignee. It will depend on the reason it was refused. Was it as shipper mistake, a consignee mistake, or what ? I know, not your problem. Right now, there is a conference call happening between your company ( you're a company driver ?) and the shipper and consignee. If possible, they'll keep it on your trailer and find a new home for it. Charge layover and all miles from the origin. You say "can you leave". Explain how you could, unless you're a company driver.

    What does layover have to do with your CSA score? If you abandon the truck and quit under dispatch then your DAC record is trashed and not a single company that uses it will hire you. Some people will chime in and say to find a company that doesn't use DAC... Sure, sounds logical, but companies also use a site called driverfacts, where the subscribing company can also add their own comments on you as an employee. Now im sure someone will spout off and say "not unless you have given signed permission", but please believe that somewhere in your employee files of you previous employment that there is a sheet with tiny print that you signed consenting to all these things.

    I agree. You will be lucky if you get paid for anything. If your company wasn't able to figure it out within 4 days their idiots and you are for keeping you under the load too.

    This is Trucking 101;

    They should have dropped in their yard some where and in 30 days then they could sell the cargo to recover their damages which would have included transportation, storage, administration fees, etc... If there was money left over they send it back to the shipper. It happens more than you think.

    I hope it gets better for you leverage.This is what I don't get,companies want you to communicate but they won't do the same.At least dispatch could tell you whats going on.Two questions leverage,who do you drive for?and is this a COD(cash on delivery)load?COD loads are a royal pain.Texas may have refused load because they did'nt have the money to pay for it.
