You are as wrong as wrong can be. Some of the finest folks in the world are from Mississippi.

I know the reason for the indifference received. But if I say it I will have everyone (almost) on this forum up in arms and will probably be banned for life. Can anyone guess what the real reason is?

I'll say this, reaction be ######: I am white. The customer immediately in front of me, who got waited on, was black. The four employees behind the counter were black. Had the races in question been reversed (I was black, employees white), it obviously would have been overt racism (sarcasm intended). But since the situation was as it was, obviously racism could not have played a part in it (sarcasm again in play here).

Either way, I won't be back there for any reason other then to fuel by company mandate. Doesn't really matter....I've already made a personal commitment to give PFJ as little of my money as possible. Bought a new CB and antenna the other day....at a TA.

What's ridiculous is seeing race hate in what is no more than sloven behavior from a minimum wage cashier.

As my post intimated....I believe this to be more true then overt racism, however, had the races been reversed, you can bet that there would have been a better chance that the race card would have been played. Doesn't help that the customer directly in front of me (and waited on immediately prior to me) was black. And keep in mind that the "minimum wage cashier" you describe was not the only one behind the counter. Three others were there, including a manager. To believe that such reverse racism doesn't exist is naïve at best. Was this an example of it? We could debate it for days and never agree (much like so many other things here on TTR!).

In the end, it wouldn't have mattered what color they were. Because of the poor service (and only such poor service), I'll take my business elsewhere when I'm in that area.
